Kids story time!

Large Lad Farva by Richard D.

Once there was this lad name Farva. He was a large lad. I am not talking fat large I'm talking unconventionally large. He actually loomed over the largest man in town. Unfortunately all the other lads made fun of him and his large ways. Now normally a man of these "magnum" proportions would just crush any opposition under his uncannily large bulk. But now you see, Farva wasn't any giant, he was a gentle giant. He was afraid of almost everything including baby bunny rabbits. They were his worse fear. Anywho one day at school all the kids were making fun of farva saying mean things such as

"Hey largo! Why don't you become larger so you won't fit places anymore!"
OR
"Afraid of a lil' Wunny Wabbit!" ( that one was usually proceded by an impression of a bunny and chasing Farva around the school)

Well like most things the teasing left Farva in tears. In his anger and his hurt Farva decided to flee the town and his worries! Find a new town where no-one would never-ever make fun of him. And there would be NO bunnies.

So Farva packed his things in a bag tied them on the end of a stick (for carrying purposes) and left the town.

After about an hour or two of walking Farva started to feel a bit homesick. He missed his mom and his dad. And just an hour later Farva thought he may of been a bit too rash and started home.

Once he was in sight of his town he noticed smoke rising from one of the buildings. Farva curious and scared ran towards the smoke to see it was coming from the burning school house!
Somebody was screaming

"MAH BABY! MAH LIL BABY! HE'S TRAPPED INSIDE!!!!"

Farva looked for the firemen who were no where in sight.
Farva panicked.
A million thoughts rushed through his head but one stuck out. The fact there was kids trapped inside those flames.
Then something snapped in Farva without thinking he leaped through a wall of flames into the building. He raced down the halls looking for survivors keeping as low as his largeness could. He saw a group of boys huddling in a corner crying. Farva knew what he had to do. In one fell swoop, his two large arms wrapped around all of the boys and darted for the exit to make his escape.

Then out of no where. Like a demon emerging from the fiery pits of hell itself a tiny, furry white, with a black spot over the eye, baby bunny hopped in front of Farva. Farva yelped and jumped back almost dropping the boys. He then realized that the bunny was just trying to escape like him. A little animal that, all its life, had been picked on by other animals like the vicious eagle and the ferocious cat. Farva realized the bunny was just like him. Albeit a little on the small side.
Farva then scooped up the bunny knowing he had to do it. The bunny deserved to live like everyone else.
Then with all the boys and the white, with a black spot over the eye, bunny Farva escaped the building.

The firemen made it shortly after and doused the flame. Farva was made a town hero and all the children loved him and played with him. Farva was pretty happy. He was loved by all and had even conquered his worse fear.

Years later you can still see Farva now the largest man on the world. Not using his big arms or his big legs to bully people but his big heart to save lives. You see, Farva opened up a baby bunny orphanage in town and it has become very successful. Farva is even a volunteer fire firefighter who has saved the department a lot of money in rams and ladders. The thing that makes him the happiest though at these times is his best friend, a little white rabbit with a black spot over it’s eye.

THE END

Ricky.
